and there was something profound in the way they harmonized.

I don't trust emotions.
They are too naive and quick to believe those around them.
A song can send them downward into a spiral of sadness.
A light touch can deceive them into feeling a false sense of warmth.
A couple of words can be the straw that breaks the camel's back,
and push them past the boiling point.
How foolish.

I think I'm lucky, though.
Mine aren't so abnormal.
If there was a measure for emotion on a scale,
I think mine would be right there in the middle,
and never would they stray further up or down the ladder.

My thoughts are in perfect tandem with my emotion.
And I have complete control over those thoughts.
I can snap out of a daze just as quickly as I can fall in to one.
Lucky me.
